A Letter From Daniel Moreira · Founder Story
I built it for myself first.
The story of how Apex Hair started in a São Paulo bathroom mirror — and the two hundred formulations that came after.
I avoided photographs
for three years.
Group shots — I'd find a way to be in the back. Selfies — only with a cap. Mirrors at the gym — I walked past them with my head angled down.
One morning in 2024 I caught my reflection on a black-screened phone. The receding line was darker, sharper, more obvious than the version of myself I'd been carrying in my head for the past three years.
I'd been telling myself it wasn't that bad. The phone screen disagreed.
This is the moment, I think, that most men reading this already know. It's never the first time you noticed. It's the first time you couldn't lie to yourself about it.
Most products don't fail at the recipe. They fail at the bond.Daniel Moreira · After failure #127
I tried everything they sell us.
Before Apex existed, I spent fourteen months and roughly $11,000 testing every alternative on the market. Each failed in a different way. None of them failed quietly.
New growth came in around month four. I stopped using it for two weeks during a trip. The new growth fell out. The cycle wasn't a treatment — it was a subscription.
$25,000 in São Paulo, $7,000 in Turkey. Six months of healing. I sat in the consultation, said thank you, and closed the tab the moment I got home.
Stained my pillow. Ran in the rain. Looked obviously fake under direct sunlight. Each one solved the morning and broke by lunch.
I stopped looking for a cure.
After every failed treatment, I realized something obvious that nobody selling hair loss products will tell you: I was a cosmetic problem with a ten-second window. Not a medical case. Not someone who needed a year of patience. I needed something that worked tomorrow morning at 7:42am before a meeting.
That insight is the entire reason Apex exists.
Two said yes. The rest laughed.
I called every chemist I could find in São Paulo. Most didn't want to work on a product they had to spend the first thirty minutes explaining wasn't a treatment.
Two said yes. We spent the next fourteen months in a lab on Rua Augusta running through what would eventually be two hundred separate formulations.
Some bonded too aggressively — clumped. Some not enough — fell off in wind. Some had the right hold but stained pillows. One had a perfect hold but smelled like wet cardboard. We threw out batch after batch until we landed on what's now in every bottle:
Pressed keratin microfibers stabilized with silica and mica minerals — minerals that generate a natural electrostatic charge anchoring fibers to your existing strand, not your scalp.
I called it LockTight Pro™ because that's what it does. It doesn't promise growth. It doesn't promise to reverse anything. It locks tight to what you have.
I used it on myself, alone, for six months before I let a single other person test it.
Tested over 14 months in São Paulo before the first bottle shipped.
Two chemists. One product. No outside investors during development.
I tested it on myself for half a year before showing anyone else.
The first hundred bottles
went to friends.
August 2025. We launched in Brazil. The first hundred bottles went to friends who'd watched me work on this for two years and were tired of hearing about it.
By December we'd shipped four thousand bottles, almost entirely by word of mouth. By March 2026 we were in twelve countries. Today we're approaching ten thousand customers and a 94% reorder rate that I check every Monday morning because I still don't believe it.
Ten seconds. A mirror you
don't avoid.
Apex Hair Men is not a treatment. It will not grow your hair back. It will not reverse genetics. It will not do anything mystical and we will never tell you it does.
What it does — and what it was built for — is this:
It locks fiber to your existing strands in ten seconds. It survives rain, sweat, full workouts, and a long day. It comes off only when you shampoo. It buys you back the photographs, the mirrors, and the meetings you've been quietly negotiating with for years.
It's a tool. The kind of tool that lets you stop thinking about your hair so you can think about the rest of your day. That's the entire promise.
What I want you to know.
Apex Hair won't work if you have zero remaining hair in an area. It needs something to bond to. If you have any density at all, even very fine strands, it works. If a section is fully smooth, this is not the right tool.
It is a cover. Not a cure. We say so on every box and every page on this site. The men who stay with us stay because we didn't oversell the first bottle.
If it doesn't work for you, email me at daniel@apexhairmen.com. The first ten thousand customers had my personal address. I'd rather lose the sale than keep someone unhappy.

Whatever you decide — whether you buy one bottle, three, or none — thank you for reading this far. The men who got me here read every word I wrote in the first year. I owe them this.
